Background
Upon graduating university in June 2005 I joined a company in Chicago, Illinois, USA originally to work as a business intern. After gaining experience in many aspects of the business my performance was at a standard high enough to allow for my job and position in the company to evolve and for my role to primarily become the company’s Web Development Specialist. I have since spent six months in our Indian office overseeing our online operations there, and am currently operating from the Canadian office on a one year assignment.
Prior to this experience I worked in the financial services sector in the UK and had experience of both the retail and finance sectors with a number of short term contracts during my college and university years. I am an outgoing and ambitious person who is keen to continue learning in a business environment and to experience different international perspectives. Ideally my next role will also have a specific focus on web development.

Job Summary
- Building, redesigning and maintaining a network of 8 company websites using a customized version of Radiant CMS in conjunction with HTML and CSS coding.
- Assisting in the designing, testing and implementation of the company’s new fore-coming propriety e-commerce software HeatWave.

In November 2007 I left the company headquarters in Illinois to oversee online operations at our location in Hyderabad, India, I took this role as I felt it was an important part of my ongoing education and that it would allow me to continue to grow both professionally and personally. Since leaving our Indian offices I’ve played a pivotal role in the ongoing communications between the core staff at that location and that of our headquarters.
In November 2008 I relocated to our Canadian office in Toronto, Ontario.

Additional Information
I enjoy participating in and watching a variety of sports. I maintain my personal fitness, which is important to me, with regular gym work. My other passions include travel, Roman history and fine wines, the latter of which I have indulged by completing a short educational course at Bordeaux L’Ecole du vin (school of wine) in the south west of France and later by completing a two year university course in Toronto to gain the distinction of Certified Sommelier from the Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers (CAPS). My experience of both living and working abroad has helped my development as an outgoing person with a broad range of interests who can engage in conversations with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
I have no past convictions. I hold a clean and current driving licence in both the UK and USA. I have theoretical knowledge of French and a basic understanding of Welsh, Italian and Hindi due to my time spent living in each country respectively.
